SkylarJenkins The two girls, Lyra and Gemma, come from two COMPLETELY different lifestyles, but you start to see that they are not so different after all. Lyra has lived her whole life in a secret laboratory treated like a lab rat, not even human. But when she escapes she becomes an alien to the outside world that she was meant to be in all along. Lyra has grew up in the actual world, but she has been kept sheltered by her overbearing parents. She too feels as if she is a stranger in her own world. Lyra is looked at as a animal and Gemma a monster. Both girls have a sort of deja vu when it comes to their early childhood. Certain things look and feel familiar, but they have no clue where they have seen it before. It is starting to become more and more clear that the girls are connected somehow, and even more clear that they are not who they have always been told they are.
