The Sun is also a Star
by Nicola Yoon
This author writes her story unlike any author i’ve ever seen before. At first I thought the book started off as an introduction of the characters but, the story line bases off the perspective of each character. She not only used the character perspective, but she also uses the words and main topic in their own view of the story.
I picked this book, not because it sounded interesting, but because I’ve seen the trailer to the movie based off of it. A friend also referred me to the author, she has written multiple books similar to this one.
The book begins with the introduction of who the characters are, and its obvious who the story is based on. As I began to read, the story became confusing to me, well not the story but how the characters are involved in it. Then it began to become more clear, and how these two different characters become intertwined. I haven’t gotten that far but the story is already progressing at a rate that I feel like I know every thing about these characters. I personally feel connected to the character Daniel, one main reason is because he is Asian just like me!
