by Lauren Oliver
A couple years ago, I had read Oliver’s Delirium series, and since then, I have loved the author as well as the series. Anyway, I remember seeing this book as a movie trailer, and since I never got to see the movie, I wanted to read it instead. The story seemed interesting, and I already knew that I liked the author, so I thought why not? So I’ve actually read this book before, but since I liked it so much, I wanted to read it again. I’m towards the end, and it still has me excited as it did the first time. 😆
Before I Fall is about this popular girl named Samantha Kingston who dies in a car accident and relives her death day 7 times. Throughout the book, she tries to find a way to change her fate and make things right between the people she’s hurt. She makes lots of metaphors about the time we have and about life and death.
This book really got me thinking about my past and the things I’ve done. Everything we do has an impact on everything and everyone in our lives. I don’t want to have regrets about my previous actions, but like everyone, I do and will. In reality, we need to realize that we can’t change the past, we just have to learn from it.
