Ancient History, Some Assembly Required

The Mayor of Rome is examining a controversial plan that could see a wall that has been missing from the Colosseum since shortly after it was built nearly 2000 years ago, finally filled in.

It’s an interesting and old controversy: How much should ancient ruins be tampered with, even in the name of reconstruction? It never occurred to me, though, that someone would want to “fill in” the rest of the Colosseum!
