It’s time to work on applications for this school year’s Governor’s School! Here’s some information that might help you make decisions:
It looks like each session in 2005 will be held from June 12–July 5. The schools convene at different college campuses across the state —
- Tennessee Heritage — ETSU
- Manufacturing and the School for the Sciences — UT Knoxville
- Prospective Teachers — UT Chattanooga
- Arts — MTSU
- Humanities — UT Martin
- International Studies — University of Memphis
- Information Technology Leadership — Tennessee Tech, Cookeville
- Agricultural Science — UT Martin
The links above will take you to the respective school’s web site. Some are a little out of date, but you can still get a good idea of what to expect by looking through old schedules, speakers, activities, etc.
I’ve aslo got a Word file containing school contact information: email addresses, phone and fax numbers. If you’d like, you can also get an application for the school of your choice online.
If you’re applying, be sure to stop in and see Mr. Ballentine sometime for more information and help. He’s an old pro at shepherding folks through the application process, which can be a bit overwhelming! 😛
